RECRIUTMENT OF THE 57TH J.S.S.E.P.C.
Recruitment of members of the 57th J.S.S.E.P.C. The 57th Joint School Science Exhibition Preparation Committee (J.S.S.E.P.C.) is now open for application. We organise a large-scale student-based science exhibition and a wide range of associated events. Apply now to strengthen your leadership, communication and organizational skills as well as to gain an extraordinary experience while working with students from different secondary schools in Hong Kong. Eligibility: Current Form 4 or 5 (Year 10 or 11) students from Hong Kong secondary schools Criteria: 1) Capable of leading, cooperating and communicating with fellow members 2) Possessing exceptional organisational and/or designing skills 3) Responsible and able to devote time and effort into the Committee's work 4) Passionate about science Application deadline: 21 September 2023 (Thursday) Procedures for application: 1) Download the Information Sheet and Application Form from the link in bio and complete the form 2) Please email the scanned application form to [email protected] Please note that members will be selected based on the contents of the Application Form. All successful applicants are expected to join the whole course of the Orientation Programme, including a briefing session held on 24 September 2023, an orientation camp and 8 sessions of Executive Committee Election. In 2023, the impact of the pandemic began to recede, allowing our society to get back on track. Overcoming numerous challenges, we are able to hold our annual highlight - Joint School Science Exhibition.🙌🏻🤓
The Joint School Science Exhibition has been a perfect platform to encourage scientific research, foster the exchange of scientific knowledge and increase public interest in science. In this year’s exhibition, there will be prompting models invented to adjust the individuals’ circadian rhythm, developing the collective rhythmic memories in society and maintaining the stability of the ecosystem. Come check out the breathtaking exhibits and immerse yourself into an inspirational expedition!💡 💫

PRIMARY SCHOOL COLOURING COMPETITION
Primary School Colouring Competition🎨
We are now holding a colouring competition targeted at all primary students in Hong Kong. This competition gives a chance for all primary school students to express their creativity and enthusiasm for science via colouring and drawing. Participants are expected to decorate and colour the given sheet to bring out our theme of the year, 'Rhythm'. The deadline for submission will be on or before 10th July 2023. Magnificent works would be awarded exquisite gifts and prizes, and be presented at the Joint School Science Exhibition held in August 2023. The 56th Joint School Science Exhibition Preparation Committee proudly presents our yearly fundraising event, which is a combination of city tracing and treasure hunt game. Participants will be divided into groups to embark on a thrilling journe. They will race through the bustling streets of the city in search of clues which bring them one step closer to the ultimate prize. 🔍🗺️Not only will this be a true adventure, but also a chance for you to establish friendships with the other participants.🫂Do not hesitate and join us now!😎

During this activity, you little scientists🧑🏻🔬👩🏻🔬 are going to learn about the fascinating world of scientific knowledge by understanding the principles and theories of ‘magic’ through beguiling games and experiments🧪🧫. PROJECT HOLDERS' ORIENTATION CAMP
Project Holders' Orientation Camp 展品負責人交流營
The Project Holders' Orientation Camp was successfully held from 7 to 9 April, at Wu Kai Sha Youth Village.
Project Holders were grouped into teams and completed a series of tasks related to the preparation of the Exhibition, such as a mock Model Inspection Scheme and a mock Exhibition. Moreover, campsite tracing and some detective games were organised for them to build teamwork and have some fun.
Not only did they get a taste of the real Exhibition, friendships were also developed among Project Holders from different schools as well as the Preparation Committee members.
We sincerely wish all Project Holders the best in the upcoming Exhibition, which will be held from 22 to 28 August 2023 at the Exhibition Gallery of the Hong Kong Central Library.

The Preparation Committee Gathering was successfully held on 23th December 2022 in Shek O. The Preparation Committee members had a fabulous time taking part in a series of team-building games and indulging in the fulfilling feast.
